Match Button Djay Pro

Jul 10, 2018  If you have done everything right, plug your controller into your iOS device and run djay Pro or Cross DJ Pro. Your controller should work with the app. Problems You Might Encounter. Some controllers, like the VCI-300MK2 I used, and other controllers with optional power adapter, need much more power than what an iOS device can supply. By pressing or moving a control (e.g. Button, slider, or knob) on your MIDI controller, djay Pro will automatically add an entry for the control in the mapping table in the configuration window. Example: Add a mapping entry for the play button on your MIDI controller by pressing the play button on your controller. We have also extended djay’s Match feature to both SoundCloud’s and TIDAL’s massive music catalogues, as well as TIDAL’s video catalogue allowing you to explore and mix endless new music as well as premium content from major labels and popular artists.

  • This is useful for key mixing and, if you’re a DJ/producer, for remixing tunes and creating mashups – you can search tunes based on tempo and key to see which ones would make a good match. Speaking of matches, djay Pro 2 comes with a Match feature that gives you suggestions for what to play next based on the tempo, key, and “danceability.
  • The djay Pro 2 way: click the big SYNC button on the queueing deck. Before you do, try clicking the small music note below the SYNC button on the queueing deck; like magic, djay Pro 2 will match the playing deck’s tempo without changing the pitch. You can then fade to the queueing deck for a.
  • Dec 20, 2016  Great product!!! I originally purchased to use with my iPad Pro and DJay PRO by Algorithm. Been doing DJ sets for years with this app. Works great with Mixon 4!! I tried Serato for the first time since it came with it and it works great also!!! This is the controller I.
  • Dec 12, 2017 Djay Pro 2 comes with AI that can mix songs together for you. New, 6 comments. Previously, Djay Pro offered some automation, like the ability to sync the BPM of two songs, and Match, its song.

HOW TO

Loop, reverse and match tempos like a vet.

djay Pro 2 brings a two-deck DJ table to your Mac – so you can start scratching, cutting and back spinning in minutes. But while many techniques are based on those fundamentals, you’ll really sound like a pro if you also master the art of looping, reversing and matching tempo.
With djay Pro 2, that’s not as hard as it sounds. Start a track playing, then try these tips:

The technique: loop
The vinyl way: making a section of a track play repeatedly used to require a steady hand. You had to carefully lift the needle off the record, move it back a bit and lower it onto the vinyl. Then repeat after a few seconds.
The djay Pro 2 way: press A (for the left-hand turntable) or L (for the right). Really – that’s it, though you can half or double the length of the loop by pressing Option-S or Option-D (for the left turntable), or Option-J or Option-K (for the right).

djay Pro 2 makes it easy to match tempo between tracks: just click the SYNC button.

The technique: reverse
The vinyl way: making a track play in reverse meant using your finger to drag the record anticlockwise.
The djay Pro 2 way: press Option-1 (for the left-hand deck) or Option-0 (for the right). Again, it’s really that easy. Press the shortcut again to switch back to forward playback.

The technique: match tempo
The vinyl way: making the tempo of one track match that of another for a smooth transition wasn’t easy. While listening to the queueing deck through headphones, you had to manually adjust its speed until it synced up with the other deck. This required precise control and countless hours of practise.
The djay Pro 2 way: click the big SYNC button on the queueing deck. That’s it. Before you do, try clicking the small music note below the SYNC button on the queueing deck; like magic, djay Pro 2 will match the playing deck’s tempo without changing the pitch. You can then fade to the queueing deck for a seamless transition.

Scratching, cutting and backspinning with djay Pro 2

This is a mapping of the NUMARK DJ2GO2 for Djay Pro:mac/iOS fully matching the native Serato mapping !

Please note it's for DJ2GO2 (version 2), it hasn't been tested with DJ2GO (version 1).

It was created by Jay Neural for DJ.MG (DJ Mega Gear).

It's mapped as close as possible to the layout printed on the hardware and as close possible to how it works with Serato.

Features :

- Fully mapped to match exact same behaviour as Serato native mapping

- Compatible with iOS

Enable full Djay for iOS compatibility to the DJ2GO2 thanks to this mapping by following these steps :

- Launch iTunes

- Connect your iOS device and let it trust your computer when prompted

- Click on the tiny device icon that appears on the top of iTunes's main section

- Click on 'File Sharing' on the left

- Find the Djay app on the app's list

- Drag the mapping in the Documents section and wait until it's uploaded

- Disconnect your iPhone and connect your AMX through the USB Camera Kit (preferably USB3 version, otherwise a powered hub will be required)

Recommendations :

- I recommend disabling pre-listen auto-select mode before using this mapping (by clicking on the top-left headset icon and unchecking the auto-select box).

- Don't hesitate to post comments requesting fixes or new features. Notice this mapping's intend is to stay as close as possible to the original Serato behavior so if you wish to add other layers (when multiple modifiers will be possible) or add features that are very different from the original mapping, it'll be better to start a new project.
