I used to do all my recording on my PowerMac G5. Now I want to only use that Mac for graphic design work and make my MacBook Pro my recording setup. I loaded iLife 08 onto the MBP. My G5 has had the last three versions installed over the years up to 08.
My concern is that I want all the instrument sounds (ones that came with the previous versions of GB I have installed over the years), all the custom instrument sounds I have made, all the loops, etc.. to go over the the MBP. I do not want to open up an old file and have it tell me something is missing. Or not have the sounds I used and made in the past.
What is the best way to do this?
Do I need to install all the previous versions of GB onto the MBP up to 08 in order to have everything that is on the G5?
Can I use migration assistant?
Am I over thinking all this;)?
Any help would be greatly appreciate.
Paul W.
